Special Vehicles
Motor Unit
Must pass certification with a SGT+ that is certified with the Motor Unit.
Motor 1 is to only ever have 1 officer on it at any given time. No passengers.
No more than 2 should be out at a time.
When on Motor 1, you must wear the following helmet:
Any helmet that has either no visor or a clear visor that will allow you to be clearly identified as a member of law enforcement if you can find a helmet with LSPD or BCSO on it then use it.. (no tinted visors)
Pursuits
It is the motor unit's entire job to stay on the suspects. The Motor Unit should be primary at all times.
If you are in a pursuit with a motor unit, make space for them to pass
Individuals on motor unit are at high risk
Drive extremely careful when around the motor unit.
DO NOT cut off the motor unit as this can cause extreme risk to the officer on the unit
Counts as a unit in the Pursuit
Air1
Must pass certification with a Command+ that is certified with Air1.
A total of 3 units must be on duty for Air 1 to be patrolling.
Must have a co-pilot.
Typically only used for higher value pursuits / robberies
May be used to patrol the airspace at any given time. If requested to assist with a pursuit, you MUST attach.
Air1 is responsible for keeping up with the suspects and doing radio comms.
Should Air1 lose the suspects, ground units are to take back over comms till Air1 regains eyes
Counts as 1 unit in the pursuit.
It is mandatory to have a co-pilot, the co-pilot does NOT count as a second unit.
No more than 2 should be out at a time.
Speed Unit (Mustang / Camaro)
Must pass certification with a LT+ that is certified with the Speed Unit.
The Speed unit is not a regular patrol vehicle and as such should not be used like one. Only ever to be called out in response to vehicles requiring the speed unit.
Rank of SGT+ required for certification.
NO Civilian ride alongs in the speed unit.
Can only be pulled out if there are at least 4 other officers on duty.
There may only be 3 speed units out on active patrol at any time.
Can respond to calls like a normal unit.
No ride alongs allowed in a speed unit.
Should not be used while training, unless an officer is being trained for the Speed Unit.
Misuse of the vehicle will result in removal of certification, a strike and suspension / potential termination.
Do NOT FTO a cadet in a Speed Unit.
Must be marked if responding to calls or robberies, unmarked used only for race interceptions.
Pursuits
The Speed Unitโs job is to stay with the suspects. Speed Unit should be primary at all times.
Speed Unit shall not PIT vehicles. Unless you have a ram bar / pit bar.
The Speed Unit is NOT an off road vehicle and should stay on roads as much as possible, Unless the chase takes off-road. The only vehicles that can take off-road is the Mustang / Challenger
SWAT / RIOT TRUCKS ARE NOT FOR PATROL. RIOT VEHICLES WITH A WATER CANNON ARE FOR THE USE OF HIGH COMMAND ONLY.
ONLY 1 OF THE SAME SPECIALIST UNIT CAN BE IN A PURSUIT AT A TIME SUCH AS MOTO1, AIR ONE, SPEED 1.
DO NOT HAVE 2 OF THE SAME SPECIALIST UNIT ON IN A PURSUIT.
This means that Air 1, Motor 1, Speed 1, Marine 1 etc can all be on the same chase however you can not have Air 1, Moto 1, Speed 1, Marine 1 and another Air, Speed, Moto or Marine / other specialist unit on that chase at the same time. If that unit becomes inoperable, you can replace them.
